12 Indians including Bihar youth stuck in Libya under cheated of travel agent, all sought help to Foreign Minister by sharing video

‘We are being beaten, kept hungry…’, says- a youth on Video

PATNA: A video of 12 Indians trapped in Libya is going viral on social media. All the youths are trapped in the African country Libya after being cheated by a fraud agent. Their families have appealed to the Indian government and administration for help.

In this video a youth saying, “No bread, no water. We 12 people are locked in a small room. We are being beaten up and told not to tell our families in India about this.”

Punjab cabinet minister Harjot Bains tweeted this video and informed that out of 12 Indian youths trapped in Libya, nine are from Punjab, one from Himachal and one from Bihar.

Five of these youths are from the same village of Anandpur Sahib. The name of this village is Lang Mazari.

On reaching the video to Minister Harjot Bains, taking immediate action, he has written a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs.

On Saturday, families in village Mazari, Punjab said travel agents told them they were taking their children to Dubai, but dropped them off in Libya.

He said that the agent had called all the youths there for driving, after which they got stuck there. These youth narrated their agony by uploading a video on social media, which was shared by Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains and Foreign Minister S.K. Appealed to Jaishankar for help.

According to the video, 12 youths have been imprisoned in a cement factory in Benghazi city. Meanwhile, it has been learned that the Ministry of External Affairs has also started efforts to rescue the youths trapped in Libya.
