Four companies including Adani Data Networks, participate for 5G spectrum auction, official released list of applicants

NEW DELHI: The Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has also made it clear that Adani Data Networks Limited, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Vodafone Idea Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd, has received applications for participation in upcoming 5G auction.

The department has clarified that this information is for information only and it should not be construed that this application has been processed or that they are pre-qualified. The auction of 5G spectrum is going to start from July 26, 2022.

Whichever company will get 5G spectrum in the auction, they will be allotted 5G spectrum for 20 years. 72,097 MHz spectrum worth Rs 4.3 lakh crore will be auctioned. Last month itself, the cabinet had allowed the auction following the recommendation of TRAI for the prices of 5G spectrum. Various types of concessions have been given to the bidders in 5G spectrum.
