WEST CHAMPARAN: A disturbing incident has come to light from Parsa village in West Champaran, where a young man named Aditya Pandey has been accused of killing a sparrow and burning its nest. The accused recorded a video of the act and posted it on social media, where it quickly went viral.
According to News Report, Bagaha Forest Range Officer Sunil Kumar said, Pandey set fire to sparrow nests in his house and the surrounding areas. He also killed a Gauraiya bird and posted its photo and video on social media on March 11, claiming responsibility for its death.
The video of the incident sparked outrage on social media, and people demanded action against the accused. Environmental activist Gajendra Yadav also lodged a complaint with the forest department, leading to the registration of two FIRs under the Wild Life Act, as per report.
The incident has drawn attention to the need for stricter laws and enforcement against cruelty to animals and destruction of their habitats. It is a reminder that every individual has a responsibility to protect and preserve the natural world around them.
