BJP Mourns the demise of Lucknow East MLA Ashutosh Tandon

Lucknow– The political sphere mourns the untimely demise of Ashutosh Tandon, the esteemed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Lucknow East, who passed away on Thursday. Tandon, 63, had been grappling with illness for a period of time before his tragic departure.

Son of the former Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon, Ashutosh Tandon had established himself as a notable figure within the political landscape. Over the years, he had contributed significantly to various ministries, including urban development, employment, and poverty alleviation, during the first term of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh.

His political journey began with his victory in the 2014 assembly elections from the Lucknow East seat. Demonstrating his unwavering commitment to public service and the community, he secured the position of MLA from the same seat for the third consecutive term in 2022.
