Change in Attitude: CM Nitish Kumar to provide compensation for deaths caused by spurious liquor in Bihar

MOTIHARI: After years of refusing to provide compensation for the deaths caused by drinking spurious liquor in Bihar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made a surprising announcement. On Monday, he declared that financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh would be given to the families of those who died due to consuming spurious liquor. This compensation will be provided from the CM Relief Fund.

This change in attitude comes after a recent incident in Motihari where suspicious deaths occurred due to drinking spurious liquor. According to news agency ANI, Nitish Kumar told reporters that financial help will be given to the families of all the people who have died due to spurious liquor so far.

The Chief Minister acknowledged that he had made a lot of efforts to impose prohibition in the state of Bihar. Despite this, the deaths caused by spurious liquor are a matter of great sadness for him. He expressed his pain and concern over such incidents and said that he feels responsible for helping the affected families.

This move by Nitish Kumar has been welcomed by many as a step towards providing justice to the families of those who have lost their lives due to consuming spurious liquor. It is hoped that this decision will encourage the authorities to take stronger actions to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
