Villagers set fire to chief’s house, accused of murder, SHO suspended

CHHAPRA/PATNA: Strictness has been increased by the police in Mubarakpur village of Saran district after the ruckus, vandalism and arson by an angry mob on Sunday. For about three hours, the angry people created a ruckus. After a murder that took place in the village in the past, people got angry.

On Tuesday, people set fire to the house and chicken farm of local Mukhiya representative Vijay Yadav.

At present, the police of many police stations have reached the spot and are camping. Police force was deployed in the village for about 25 kilometers, so that no untoward incident happens from anywhere. The SP himself is engaged in convincing the people by camping in the village.

Vijay Yadav is alleged to have thrashed three youths with sticks, after which one youth, Amitesh Kumar Singh, died.

In the incident, 25-year-old Alok Kumar Singh alias Vicky and Rahul Kumar were referred to PMCH.

Saran District Superintendent of Police Gaurav Mangala, who reached the spot, told that two accused have been arrested in the case while the police is conducting raids to arrest the others.

He has also appealed to the villagers to maintain peace.

According to the information received, after the ruckus created by the angry mob in Mubarakpur village, the people of the entire surrounding area came in great panic. People of Narpalia, Tajpur, Manjhi Miyan Patti and other villages closed their shops in the market.

Let us tell you that, after the video of Mubarakpur Mukhiya husband Vijay Yadav and his supporters beating three youths hostage in a chicken farm on Thursday went viral, angry people reached Sidhariya Tola in Mubarakpur and started protesting in many houses on Sunday. The fire was set, due to which the property worth lakhs got burnt.

Earlier, the furious mob pelted stones at the police who came to stop the angry people. Due to this, one woman and one male policeman got injured. Mubarakpur Panchayat was completely in the lap of uproar for about three hours. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Saran’s SP Gaurav Mangla reached Mubarakpur with the police of several police stations.
