MUMBAI: Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw’s car was attacked by a man with a baseball bat in Mumbai.
There was an altercation between this person and the cricketer over taking a selfie.
The incident happened outside a luxury hotel in Mumbai’s Santa Cruz area on Thursday.
The Oshiwara police have registered a case of rioting, extortion and criminal intimidation against eight people for allegedly attacking India cricketer Prithvi Shaw and his friends. A woman named Sapna Gill has been arrested in the case.

The police said the incident took place early on Wednesday in a cafe at the Sahara Star hotel after two people approached Shaw for a selfie. As they allegedly kept harassing him for photos, the duo were escorted outside by the hotel staff. However, they waited for Shaw and allegedly attacked his car with a baseball bat.

A video is going viral on social media in which some people are seen attacking Prithvi Shaw’s car. No one has been hurt in this attack, but along with the antics in the camera, one name is being heard again and again and this name is of Sapna Gill.
It is seen in the video that some people wanted to take a photo with Prithvi Shaw but the cricketer refused and when these people did not agree even after refusing, the cricketer snatched the phone from the girl’s hand.
Sapna Gill has also been seen making reels with many celebrities. His photo and reel with Bigg Boss fame Ali Goni also went viral.
