India records 201 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours, active tally rises to 3,397: report

NEW DELHI: The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has said that 201 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. According to the data shared on Saturday, the total recovery rate reached at around 98.80 percent while total recoveries data reached to 4, 41,42,791 .

According to the report, the total active cases of COVID-19 in India have decreased to 3,397, the health ministry data showed today. Yesterday, the registered active cases were around 3,380. 

In the last 24 hours, 183 have also recovered after infection. With this, the total number of recovered cases has increased to 4,41,42,791.

The daily positivity was recorded at 0.15 per cent and the weekly positivity at 0.14 percent. The death toll stands at 5,30,691 with one fatality reconciled by Kerala, the data updated by the ministry.

India has so far recorded at 4.46 crore Covid-19 cases, as per the data.
