“Jio Donates Hundreds of Jio Bharat Phones to Needy Individuals in Punjab”
Chandigarh, Towards realizing the vision of a 2G free India, Jio recently announced the launch of Jio Bharat V2 4G phone. Taking it further, Jio has commenced the sale of Jio Bharat V2 phone across all the urban and rural markets of Punjab from today.
To empower more than 80 lakhs 2G customers of Punjab with state of the art 4G infrastructure, Jio Bharat V2 4G phone is being offered at a very affordable price. Jio Bharat phone is now available in all 97 tehsils, 81 sub-tehsils and more than 12500 villages of Punjab. In the first phase, customers can buy Jio Bharat Phone from over 25,000 retail outlets and more than 200 Jio stores across the state.
The Jio Bharat Phone was launched in various cities and villages of Punjab with formal prayers at religious places like Temples and Gurudwaras etc. Hundreds of Jio Bharat Phones were donated all across the state, to the needy and underprivileged in an effort to upgrade them from 2G network to 4G network.
Jio Bharat V2 is priced at only ₹ 999, which is the lowest entry price for an internet-enabled phone. Users will get 30% cheaper monthly plan and 7 times more data compared to feature phone offerings of other operators. The users of Jio Bharat V2 will have to spend only Rs. 123 per month for unlimited voice calls and get 14 GB data, compared to other operators’ Rs. 179 plan for voice calls and 2GB data. ‘Jio Bharat V2’ also has an annual pack offering of just Rs.1234.
Made in India, and weighing only 71 grams, ‘Jio Bharat V2’ has features like HD voice calling, FM radio, 128 GB SD memory card support. 4.5 cm TFT screen, 0.3 megapixel camera, 1000 mAh battery, 3.5 mm headphone jack, powerful loudspeaker and torch etc.
Jio Bharat V2 mobile users will also get access to 80 million songs from Jio-Saavn along with subscription to JioCinema. Users will also be able to transact on UPI through Jio-Pay. This mobile supports 22 Indian languages including Hindi and Punjabi.
