PATNA: In a recent statement, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has expressed his belief that the recent political developments in Maharashtra will have no effect on the political stature of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar.
Lalu Yadav emphasized, “Sharad Pawar is not going to be affected” by the ongoing political changes in Maharashtra. He dismissed the notion that the departure of a few MLAs would diminish Sharad Pawar’s political influence and prowess.

Lalu Yadav further asserted, “Sharad Pawar holds a significant status and wields considerable power. Even Narendra Modi attempted to challenge his influence, but all such efforts are bound to fail.”
The statement comes in the wake of Sharad Pawar’s nephew, Ajit Pawar, along with eight other party leaders, joining the Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra on Sunday. However, Sharad Pawar distanced himself from Ajit Pawar’s decision on Monday, stating that his blessings were not associated with it.
Sharad Pawar Disowns Ajit Pawar’s Decision: “I Don’t Support Him”
On Monday, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar clarified that he has not given his blessings to his nephew, Ajit Pawar, amidst widespread speculation about Ajit Pawar’s potential inclusion in the Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra.
Sharad Pawar unequivocally stated, “I do not support his decision. My blessings are not with him.”
Ajit Pawar, who is the nephew of Sharad Pawar, created a stir when he joined the BJP-Shiv Sena (Eknath faction) government on Sunday, along with eight other MLAs. This move fueled speculations about whether Sharad Pawar had sanctioned Ajit Pawar’s decision.

However, Sharad Pawar firmly rejected any such speculations on Monday, asserting that Ajit Pawar’s actions were his own and not reflective of the party’s stance.
He commented, “Whatever is happening is driven by a thirst for power. The decision taken by Ajit Pawar is his own and does not represent the party’s decision.”
Sharad Pawar’s statement makes it clear that he distances himself from Ajit Pawar’s move, reinforcing the notion that Ajit Pawar’s decision to join the government is not supported by the NCP leadership.
