Patna: Tejashwi Yadav inspects night shelters at mid-night, distributes blankets to needy amidst bitter cold

Tejashwi Yadav came out on the streets of Patna at midnight to take stock of night shelters, people remembered Lalu Yadav

Along with increasing facilities, Deputy CM gave instructions to make separate night shelters for women.

Patna. Late on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav inspected the night shelters built in different areas of the capital Patna. Tejaswi first of all went to know the condition of the poor sleeping on the roadside and also distributed blankets to the needy.

Seeing Tejashwi Yadav, many people remembered RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav. Actually, Lalu Yadav was the Chief Minister of Bihar, he too used to suddenly reach among the public.

Tejashwi Yadav also tweeted about the inspection. Wrote in the tweet, “The harsh winter should not create problems for our poor brothers, so our government has made arrangements for night shelters and free temporary shelters. Late last night, a surprise inspection of these night shelters and temporary shelters was done.”

Along with Tejashwi, Municipal Commissioner Animesh Parashar was also present during the review taken in many areas of Patna. Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav took stock of the night shelters during a surprise inspection as the Urban Development Minister last night. Along with this, also saw the arrangement of cleanliness in the night. While giving instructions, Tejashwi said that anyone with an identity card should be allowed to stay in night shelters free of cost. Tejashwi also instructed to make a separate night shelter for women.

When he went to the people sleeping in the open on the banks of the bridges built in the city, people demanded sheds. Tejashwi immediately instructed the city commissioner to get a temporary night shelter constructed on the empty space under the bridges. Expressed happiness over the facility of clean water and hi-fi being provided in the night shelters.

  Night shelters have been linked with nearby toilets, where there are no nearby toilets, arrangements have been made for separate toilets. There is proper arrangement of clean drinking water in all. Keeping the security in mind, CCTV has also been arranged.

Yadav has instructed to arrange mobile charging points and Wi-Fi in night shelters. There is an instruction to arrange separate boxes for all the people to keep the essential items. Has been asked to arrange for fire fighting equipment. Separate arrangements are being made for those who are not able to take advantage of these shelters due to concern about the safety of their rickshaws, carts or other vehicles. The number of shelters is being increased continuously. To get the benefit of night shelters, it was also asked to make the process very simple so that more and more people can take advantage of it.
