“Rishabh Pant is a fighter”; Shah Rukh Khan prays for his speedy recovery

MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan wished for speedy recovery of cricketer Rishabh Pant, who was injured in a road accident, calling him a ‘fighter’.

During an AskSRK session on Twitter, a user asked the ‘Chak De India’ actor,” Please send good wishes to Rishabh pant for his speedy recovery.” To which he replied, “Inshaallah he will be well soon. He is a fighter and a very tough guy.”

During this, Shahrukh replied on the tweets of many people.

Many Team India players, including Team India coach Rahul Dravid, Twenty20 captain Hardik Pandya and vice-captain Surya Kumar Yadav, have prayed for Rishabh through a video and prayed for his speedy recovery.

Earlier, the BCCI informed that complete preparations have been made to shift Rishabh Pant to Mumbai. Pant admitted to Max Hospital in Dehradun will be taken to Mumbai by air ambulance.

Pant will be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

He will be treated by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head of Sports Medicine and Director of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Services. Pant has to undergo ligament tear surgery.

“Pant’s further treatment will be taken care of by BCCI now. Jay Shah himself will keep a close eye on his treatment. If needed, the board will send him to the United Kingdom,” the DDCA official told ANI

Rishabh Pant was injured in a car accident near Roorkee on 30 December.

The BCCI said in its statement, “The board will do everything possible for Rishabh’s early recovery and will provide him all necessary help.”
