Tejashwi Yadav vows action against Health Department, held meeting with officials over “Mission-60”

Patna. Aiming to take strong measures against Health Department, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav cum Health Minister held a meeting with the officials regarding ‘Mission’-60 on Friday and discussed many issues of Health Department. Along with this, many instructions were also given regarding the progress of Mission-60.

In the run up to the meeting, he started registration counters in medical colleges and district hospitals, from admission of patients, parking, ambulance, hearse, roster, equipment, referral policy, help desk, complaint desk, along with providing simple facilities to patients. Discussed the process of issuing birth and death certificates.

Health Minister said that under the Mission-60 in the Health Department, there has been a radical change in all the district hospitals of Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav said, the process of improving the health system and service will continue till the primary health centers.

He has also directed the district hospitals to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the referral policy and to keep the availability of all necessary medicines and medical equipment in working condition with proper staff.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has given 60 days time to bring the state’s health system back on track. At the same time, he has given clear instructions regarding corruption.

Allergy to corruption, bribery is also not tolerated

In September, Tejashwi Yadav had a meeting with the officials of the health department and the CS of the districts. Expressing his intentions clearly, Yadav had said that he is strongly allergic to corruption. Any kind of financial irregularity, bribery and corruption will not be tolerated in the health department. In the review meeting, Tejashwi Yadav also targeted former Health Minister Mangal Pandey in a gesture.
