Chennai: In a tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of the day, six people, including a child and a woman, lost their lives, while three others were injured in a road accident on Trichy-Salem NH near Tiruvasi in Trichy District, Tamil Nadu. The accident happened when a van collided with a lorry, resulting in the death of six passengers on board the van.
According to Sujith Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Trichy, all the injured have been shifted to the Trichy government hospital for medical treatment, while the dead bodies have been sent for autopsy.
