“Two persons killed, Four injured in High-Speed car crash on Yamuna Expressway”

Mathura – A horrifying accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura claimed the lives of two individuals and left four others injured, as a speeding car crashed into a stationary vehicle.

The incident occurred near milestone 118 within the jurisdiction of Mahavan police station in Mathura district. Authorities were alerted to the tragic event on Wednesday.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the police, a car had pulled over on the side of the expressway due to a punctured tire. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, a car traveling at high speed from Agra to Noida collided forcefully into the stationary vehicle from behind. The impact of the collision proved fatal for two of the victims who were attending to the flat tire at the time of the accident.

The deceased individuals have been identified as 70-year-old Yogendra and 32-year-old Pooja, both hailing from Delhi. Their lives were tragically cut short due to the devastating collision. Meanwhile, the four occupants of the second car sustained injuries in the accident and were promptly rushed to a nearby private hospital for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.

Local law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the collision. The police are diligently working to gather evidence and statements from witnesses to piece together a comprehensive understanding of the events leading up to the tragic accident.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the perils of reckless driving and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations. The Yamuna Expressway has witnessed numerous accidents in the past, necessitating increased vigilance and safety precautions by motorists. Authorities continue to emphasize the need for responsible driving to prevent such avoidable tragedies.

In a separate incident, occurring earlier this week in Melpattampakkam of Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu, approximately 70 individuals sustained injuries in a collision involving two private buses. The local police reported the incident, highlighting the need for enhanced road safety measures across the country.
