Veteran comedian Raju Srivastava passed away, Celebs including politicians paid tribute

NEW DELHI: Veteran Comedian Raju Srivastava passed away at 58 on Wednesday in AIIMS, Delhi, confirmed his family.

Raju Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS from last two week, after he suffered a heart attack. Raju Srivastava was on ventilator support for 15 days, after which he regained consciousness.

After this, celebrities from all other fields including art, politicians are paying tribute.

Kumar Vishwas wrote on his Twitter, “Raju Bhai finally took a break from the worldly journey to fight the gloom of God’s world. Hundreds of memoirs of his journey from the days of struggle to the pinnacle of fame have come to the fore. Floating ahead. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel tweeted, “Sad news of the demise of ‘Gajodhar’ of comedy lovers Shri Raju Shrivastava ji. He presented a new form of comedy genre to the country. His passing is a great loss of art. May his soul rest in peace and give courage to his family and loved ones.”

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, while paying tribute to Raju Srivastava, wrote that – ‘The heart is saddened by the untimely demise of Shri Raju Shrivastava ji, a famous comedian who has made a different identity in the film world with his easy humor. .’

“The untimely demise of famous actor and comedian Shri Raju Srivastava ji has caused an irreparable loss to the Indian art world. I pray to God to give peace to his soul and strength to his well wishers and family in this hour of grief”, twitted Tejashwi Yadav.

Raju Srivastava was the entertainment industry since the 1980s. He shot to fame after participating in the first season of the reality stand-up comedy show “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2005.

He was also the chairman of the Film Development Council Uttar Pradesh.
