Yogi Adityanath official Instruction to make roads pothole free in two months across UP

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to make the roads pothole-free by November 15 in the state.

Chairing the high-level meeting on Thursday, Yogi Adityanath also took stock of the preparations for the 81st Indian Road Congress (IRC) to be held in Lucknow from 8 to 11 October.

In the Meeting CM Yogi asked all the departments related to the road construction, including Public work department, Urban department, Housing and urban planning, irrigation, sugarcane department, industrial department , Rural development and rural engineering to prepare a action plan for the road repair campaign and sets 15 Nov as the deadline to make the Uttarpradesh potholes free.

“Better connectivity is the way to progress. Along with the construction of the road, its maintenance should also be taken care of, It’s necessary to repair the roads from time to time. As the monsoon season is in its final stages over the state, road repair works and pothole-clearing can be start immediately”, CM said.

Special attention should be given to Industrial and Agricultural market areas. CM added Everyone has the right to have good road connectivity regardless of whether they live in a village or in the Metro city.

The roads should be in good condition, Make sure the road construction projects should be completed on time. In case of negligence or substandard road the accountability should be fixed with zero tolerance policy.

Yogi Adityanath said that good roads and connectivity is the right of every person and the work of making roads should be completed on time.

Apart from this, he has talked about carrying out relief work in the rain-affected districts and shifting the families trapped in the water-logging to a safer place.
