Shah will address a rally in Nawada

PATNA: On Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his concern over the communal violence in Bihar and spoke to Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar about the situation in the state. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to send additional paramilitary forces to the Bihar government to help control the violence.

The violence broke out during Ram Navami celebrations in Bihar’s Sasaram and Biharsharif cities. As per the news agency PTI’s report, the additional paramilitary forces will be sent after the request of the Bihar government. It is believed that the governor has informed Amit Shah about the situation in the state.

Till Saturday, the Bihar Police had detained 45 people in connection to the violence in both the cities. The district administration in Sasaram had imposed prohibitory orders following the violence on Friday afternoon. Home Minister Amit Shah canceled his visit to Sasaram on Sunday.

BJP state president Samrat Chaudhary has blamed the Nitish Kumar government for canceling the program of Sasaram, where a program of BJP was proposed on the birth anniversary of Emperor Ashoka. However, the situation remains tense, and the additional paramilitary forces are expected to bring some relief to the state.

The communal tension in Bihar is not new, and the government has been criticized for not doing enough to prevent such incidents. With the deployment of additional paramilitary forces, the government is expected to take strict action against the troublemakers and bring normalcy to the affected areas. It is high time that the government takes decisive action to curb such incidents and ensure communal harmony in the state.

However, there is a rally of Amit Shah in Hisua of Nawada on Sunday afternoon which he will address.
