Bihar: Miscreants steal over 8 lakh from Central Bank’s ATM by using gas-cutter to cut open machine  

CHHAPRA: As a report stated that miscreants in Bihar’s Chhapra showing audacity, cut the Central Bank’s ATM with a gas cutter in the bitter cold on Tuesday night and fled after stealing around Rs 8.75 lakh.

According to the information, the incident took place at Sandha, area of Mufassil police station of Chhapra. It is being told that before stealing the ATM machine in the residential area here, the thieves broke all the CCTV cameras to destroy the evidence and ran away with the hard disk.

After getting the information in the morning, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Meanwhile, information has been received that the police is now trying to get the CCTV footage by contacting the headquarters. It is being told that the thieves kept cutting the ATM with gas cutters throughout the night, but the police did not even get a clue of it.

It is said that the ATM remained open even in the night. At night, the miscreants reached the ATM with a gas cutter. During this, he cut the ATM machine with a cutter and ran away with all the cash.

Acceding to the Media report, Bank’s assistant manager Vikas Kumar told that 8,75,000 cash has been stolen. Thieves have damaged CCTV cameras and hard disk. The police of Mufassil police station have also reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The police have checked the CCTV cameras in the surrounding areas.
