PURNIA: After registering a case of disproportionate assets against Purnia Municipal Corporation engineer Shiv Shankar Singh, Vigilance Department has raided multiple of his properties on Friday.
A case has been registered against Engineer Shiv Shankar Singh for amassing assets worth about Rs 1.21 crore disproportionate to his income. Due to which Singh has climbed on the radar of Vigilance. On Friday, the Vigilance team is simultaneously conducting raids in Saharsa and Patna including Purnia.
Vigilance raids are being conducted at the engineer’s residence in Purnia under the leadership of DSP Arun Paswan. He accompanied by several officers of the Vigilance department. The local police are also deployed.
According to the Vigilance report, Singh’s house in Saharsa has been let out for running the school. Along with the Vigilance team in Saharsa, team of the Sadar police station is also present. So far 10 land papers, check book, bank passbook have been recovered. Sources are getting information about getting huge amount of cash, jewelery and land papers from their hideouts.
