Hajipur. Corruption is not taking the name of ending in Bihar. Economic Offences Unit (EOU) on Saturday raided the three premises of Vibha Kumari posted as Deputy Director of Education Department in Patna Secretariat. The team of Economic Offenses Unit has taken major action against corrupt public servants.
Confirming the raid, ADG of Economic Offenses Unit Nayyar Hasnain Khan said that besides Dharampur village of Vaishali police station, raids are going on at several places of Deputy Director Vibha Kumari in Muzaffarpur and Patna.
According to the report, the investigation conducted on the basis of tip-off information, it has been found that Vibha Kumari has accused of acquiring more than 52 percent of the assets from her income. The raids are going on in flat number 301 of his apartment in Danapur, Patna, apart from the education department at the Secretariat of Education and his in-laws in Vaishali. DSP level officers are leading the raids. She is accused of taking bribe in return for giving recognition to the university. Now the Economic Offenses Unit is probing all the bribery allegations against him.
After the investigation report came, a special team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendents of Police/ Inspectors of Police of Economic Offenses Unit. The team of Economic Offenses Unit reached his ancestral residence on Saturday morning itself. EOU raids are going on at his residence in Patna, Vaishali and Muzaffarpur. It is not yet known how much illegal property was found in this raid.
