GANDHINAGAR: BJP is continuously leading in the trends of Gujarat assembly elections. At present, BJP is leading on 123 seats and Congress on 22 while AAP on 10.

Aam Aadmi Party is also leading in 7 seats and other parties are leading in 2 seats.

Challenging seats for BJP

Congress has been continuously winning from Mahudha seat in Kheda district of Gujarat since 1975, BJP or Janata Dal has never been able to open an account here.

In Vyara seat of Bardoli district too, no party other than Congress has won, of course independent candidates won in 1990 and 1995, but no party like BJP or Janata Dal has ever won.

The Jhalod assembly in Dahod district has been dominated by the Congress for decades, where a BJP candidate won only once in 2002. Apart from this, BJP has never been able to win here.

Hardik Patel has expressed hope that the party is going to put up its best ever performance in the Gujarat Assembly. He also said that there is no doubt that BJP is going to form the government for the seventh consecutive time in the state.

Speaking to media, Hardik Patel said, “The party (Congress) which hurt the religious sentiments of Gujarat cannot succeed here. We (BJP) are going to get 135 to 145 seats. We will form a solid government.” Have you got any doubt?”

Voting for 182 assembly seats in the state was held on another 5 December.

In the 2017 elections, the BJP had won the maximum number of 99 seats.
