Nine arrested in brutal killing of Bihar native on suspicion of theft in Kerala’s Malappuram

PATNA: Police have arrested nine people in connection with the murder of a 36-year-old man in the Mallapuram district of Kerala. The victim, identified as Rajesh Manchi, from Bihar, allegedly fell from a house in Kiziseri district of Malappuram state, was violently attacked by a mob, and was arrested by local residents on suspicion of theft.

Officials said on the night of May 12, Rajesh Manchi was brutally beaten with pipes and wooden sticks and his hands were tied behind his back. As a result of the attack, he eventually died from severe injuries to his chest, ribs and hips.
