NEW DELHI: The Congress party on Saturday termed the Central Government’s ‘Rozgar Mela’ as ‘eventbaazi’ of ‘Jumla King’.
The Congress has asked the central government that when will the 16 crore jobs promised to the youth of the country be fulfilled.
Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to provide two crore jobs every year if he came to power, but it was not fulfilled in the last eight years.
He said on Twitter, “The first major success of the India Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi. 70 thousand jobs are just cumin in the camel’s mouth, but the ears of the king of Delhi have been opened. Knowing the problem of unemployment. In 8 years 16 crore jobs were to be given – 2 crores every year. Now the event of 70 thousand jobs is just right.”

Referring to the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he further said, “Right now the Bharat Jodo Yatra has passed through four provinces, finally the ‘Jumla King’ was forced by Rahul ji to believe that unemployment is the biggest problem of the country. But Tell day-date-month, when will you get 16 crore jobs in 8 years? By when will you give 30 lakh government jobs? Eventbaazi nahi rozgar do.”
In a video message posted on Twitter, Randeep Surjewala said that the Congress will continue to ask questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
— Randeep Singh Surjewala (@rssurjewala) October 22, 2022

He said, “The situation is not going to change just by giving 70 thousand appointment letters. The youth of the country need employment and the Prime Minister will have to answer this. Rahul Gandhi and Congress will keep raising these questions in front of the Prime Minister during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.”
