PATNA: India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Monday, i.e. on 15th August 2022. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar hoisted the flag at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on the 75th anniversary of independence.

Not only 10 lakh, while 20 lakh govt jobs!

He said in his address at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan during an event to celebrate Independence Day, the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal (United) alliance government has a “concept” to provide at least 10 lakh jobs in the government and an additional 10 lakh “employment opportunities” in various sectors.

“We will do so much to create jobs and employment opportunities for the children of the state — in both government and outside — that if we succeed, we want to take the figure to 20 lakhs,” he said, adding that the state government will work hard everywhere to ensure this.

In fact, during the 2020 assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal had promised 10 lakh jobs. But at that time Nitish Kumar formed the government with the help of BJP.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav used to mention this promise a lot in every rally in those days. Now Nitish Kumar has separated from the BJP and has once again formed the government with the RJD.

Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has also reacted to Nitish Kumar’s announcement on Independence Day.

“The BJP never fulfils its promise. We will fulfil our promises. And these questions that you are asking impishly that ‘when will you give 10 lakhs’, hasn’t the Chief Minister spoken about this in front of you today?” Yadav had said two days ago.

The new alliance of Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) and Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) took over the government in Bihar this week after the JD(U) chief ditched the BJP for the second time in nine years.
