PM Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passes away at 100, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath pay tribute

AHMEDABAD: PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passed away on Friday at the age of 100 in Ahmedabad.

A bulletin from the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre, where she was admitted for check-up after health complications on Wednesday, said Heeraben has passed away.

With the arrival of this news, PM Modi has left for Ahmedabad. All the veteran leaders of the country and celebrities from different fields can reach Ahmedabad today.

“A glorious century rests at the feet of God… In Maa, I have always felt that trinity, which contains the journey of an ascetic, the symbol of a selfless Karmayogi and a life committed to values,” Prime Minister Modi said in a heartfelt tweet.

But since this news came, tributes are being paid to him by the leaders of all other parties including BJP.

Home Minister Amit Shah has written – ‘The struggles faced by Hira Ba to nurture the family are an ideal for all. His sacrificial ascetic life will always be in our memory. The whole country stands with Prime Minister Modi and his family in this hour of grief. Prayers of crores of people are with you. Om Shanti’

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written – ‘A mother is the whole world for a son. The death of a mother is an unbearable and irreparable loss for a son. The demise of the revered mother of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is extremely saddened. May Lord Shri Ram give the departed pious soul a place in his holy feet, Om Shanti!’

The country’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has written on this occasion – ‘I am deeply pained by the death of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Shri Heera Ba. The demise of a mother brings such a void in one’s life, which is impossible to fill.
